I was seated at the bow of our small boat as a herd of elephants crossed the Chobe River. Once a shore, we knew they would take the time to stop and dust. Dust, they did!
Elephants dust to protect their skin from the sun, parasites, and insects too. It’s believed they also dust as a social activity.
